Program Overview

This program is designed to teach elementary school kids the fundamentals of basketball. The program will consist of 30 kids max capacity per class/per session. Coaches are trained experienced basketball coaches that have played basketball at some level and/or have the advanced knowledge of basketball as a coach. Our coaches have played or coached collegiately and professionally in the NBA and overseas. All of our coaches have gone through mandatory program to properly coach/teach kids at the highest level expected by Destined Next and Washington Wizards standard.

All participants receive a t-shirt.

6 Week Curriculum

• Week 1- Program rules and structure, learn the lines on the basketball court, play the line game
• Week 2- Dribbling drills: right, left, crossover, stationary and moving, relay dribble race
• Week 3- Passing Drills, bounce pass, chest pass, overhead pass, passing game
• Week 4- Shooting, learn proper shooting techniques, follow through, etc. Shooting games
• Week 5- Kids Day (kids get to pick games we have done in the class to play)  
• Week 6- Scrimmages
